With everything shut down due to Covid 19, studios are working on developments remotely. And Marvel might be working on a big one.

According to MCU Cosmic, the studio is in advanced brainstorm and premature developments on Ultimatum. It might make an appearance in the Disney + series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”. Details of the project are limited, so no story or plot to be detected so far. What is also not clear is if the projects is featured for theatrical release or as a series on Disney +. For those Ultimatum doesn’t ring a bell, it was a storyline that appeared in the comics in 2009, and demonstrated Magneto and his attempt to destroy the world after the death of his children, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. It features all crucial Marvel characters like the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Namor, and Doctor Doom, not forgetting Captain America, Spider-Man, Thor, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Wasp, and last but not least Hawkeye.

Developing this storyline would mean Marvel Studios would have to incur some changes to fit the MCU. Disinsider knows already for a while that Kevin Feige and the studio are actively working on a way to add the X-Men and Fantastic Four into the MCU, but details are kept secret. However Ultimatum could be the perfect way to accomplish this. A recent news flash reported that John Krasinski already met with the studio concerning a potential project. Keep in mind that the report yet has to be confirmed.
